Trunk or Treat!!

Friday night was our church "Trunk or Treat" and Halloween carnival. We had so much fun! I've never been in a ward where so many adults dressed up! I'm going to have to step it way up next year! ;) The boys came home with more candy than they could eat in a lifetime...I may just have to help them with that! ;)

I decided to dress up an hour before we left and "cowgirl" was all I could come up with from the clothes in my closet...like I said I have to step it waaaay up next year! The boys look great though...Logan(mummy), London(robot), Carson(Spiderman)

FUN FRIENDS...

How fun is our Bishop dressed as Mr. Incredible?

FUN GAMES...

MY VOTES FOR BEST DRESSED....

Rico as Captain Jack Sparrow...or "Black Jack" as he referred to himself! ;) He cracks me up!

Kellie as Mary Poppins...she made her purse herself! Loved all of the details in her costume!

Logan loved that his heart and ribs lit up!

Weston and the boys decorated our "trunk"...looks pretty scary if you ask me! ;)

Weston handed out the candy and London couldn't keep his eyes off the spiders that would jump down from the roof when people walked by! Logan picked out our ghost...he had fun since I don't really decorate with spooky stuff in the inside of our house.

We're looking forward to next year!

May The Force Be With You.....

This year the boys wanted to do a Star Wars theme for their pumpkins. Easier said than done! It was a lot of intricate cutting, but they turned out fantastic! Good thing Weston is an artist...I usually let him take charge of the carving while I'm in charge of picture taking and cleaning up! I did carve the "Star Wars" logo pumpkin for London and I'm sure London probably could have done just as well himself. In my defense I did free hand it! ;)

Getting the guts out!

London had the smallest pumpkin, but the most guts!

Poking holes to make the pattern.

You can start to see the picture.

Very carefully carving along the pattern.

The finished product!

Logan did Anakin, London(me) Start Wars, and Carson had the Clone Trooper...I think they turned out great boys! Good Work!

Halloween Happening

This weekend the other grade school in town hosted a "Halloween Happening"...which basically is a really fun carnival/fundraiser for the school. Our school does a similar event every spring called the "Spring Fling". I'm glad the 2 schools space out these events so we can enjoy both of them each year! This was our 1st time attending the Halloween Happening and I'm so glad we went! They went all out with so many fun carnival games, rock climbing wall, jumping castles, obstacle course, pony rides, yummy catered mexican food, delicious treats, and our favorite part...a very scary, spooky haunted house! Seriously, I was pretty impressed with it! It was a great evening to spend together as a family and I think we'll try to make it an annual tradition. Plus, it's always nice to know you're supporting local schools!

FREE balloon animals!

They love jumping castles...then again what kid doesn't?

All that soccer practice is showing...both boys scored in the soccer shoot out!

Logan was an animal at Balloon Darts! He popped 3 in a row!

London cooling down with a snow cone...yes it really was warm enough during the evening to enjoy a snow cone. Crazy I know!!

Can't go to a carnival without having cotton candy!

Pumpkin Patch

This year we went to Agua Linda Farm to get our pumpkins. Weston's brother Jon and his family as well as Jeff, Breein and Sophie North came along. We had so much fun! Last year it was 90 degrees when we went to the pumpkin patch and this year was 70...perfect! It even cooled off enough in the evening for us to wear sweatshirts! Hey you take what you can get in Arizona! ;) Here are a few picks of our favorite activities! Happy Fall everyone!

HAY PYRAMID

TIRE SWING

PONY RIDES

This is Carson's I'm trying to look cool and not smile face...

HAY MAZE

PETTING ZOO

PUMPKIN PATCH

AND FOR THE FINALE...A SHOWING OF "IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN CHARLIE BROWN" ON AN OUTDOOR MOVIE SCREEN! SO FUN!

We enjoyed burgers, hot dogs, and the best hand battered onion rings I've ever tasted while we watched the show! I was so excited to try their famous pumpkin pie recipe "featured in Good Housekeeping magazine", but sadly they sold the last piece right before I got to the window...dang it. I'm heading there 1st next year! We did make it home with some home made jellies and pumpkin and zucchini bread though! Delicious!

Golf can be fun!

The weather is starting to cool down here...slightly...so we took the boys out Saturday evening for a little miniature golf. I have to confess...I LOVE miniature golf! There are a few courses around Tucson, but we had heard good things about Golf N' Stuff so we decided to try it out. We used our coupons from the boys' school fundraiser Entertainment book and paid half price...nice! They had so much fun and by some miracle London was perfectly content to just hang out in his stroller for the entire hour it took to do the course! I thought for sure I'd be fishing him out of the duck pond...at least his ISR courses would have come in handy! ;) With the money we saved on tickets we treated ourselves to some Gelato at FROST...which was conveniently located right down the street. A cool, delicious, scrumptious, ending to a very fun evening. Next time we're going to have to try the bumper boats and race track! ;)
