Three's a Crowd?

Well I have some exciting news....yes you guessed it...we're PREGNANT!!! I've been holding off a bit on announcing this because I was a little worried after our last miscarriage. However, we went to the doctor today and had our first ultrasound and everything looks perfect! I'm a little over 2 months so I'll be due around June 7th. Finally a warm weather baby! We are very excited and feel really blessed that we were able to get pregnant again so easily. So I guess I will soon find out what it feels like to be outnumbered!

Pumpkin Patch Playgroup

Last week we went to Lendt's Pumpkin Patch with a big group of friends from church. All the kids were out of school and we had great sunny weather! We took a hayride out to the patch to pick the perfect pumpkins and then the kids had fun running in the corn fields picking out some indian corn. Afterwards we had lunch in the "spooky forest" and the kids ran around playing hide and seek. Have I mentioned that I LOVE Fall lately? :)

On the hunt for the perfect pumpkin.

Logan finally found one!

Carson and I enjoying the ride!

Having a blast getting lost in the corn fields!

Nice indian corn Carson!

Logan and Jacob hauling our "picks" back to the car.
It looks like we picked up a cute extra in the field...oh
wait that's just Katie, Jacob's baby sis! :)

Fall is here!

Yesterday Weston had to make a quick trip to his KFC/A&W in Stillwater so the boys and I decided to tag along. There's a fun place called Sun Country Farm that's right down the street so the boys and I hung out there while Weston got his work done. There's countless cute photo ops, a duck pond, and a pretty big petting zoo. Afterwards we had some yummy rootbeer freezes at the A&W.....it pays to sleep with the owner! HaHa! I just love fall time!

I let the boys pick out spiderweb "spiderman"
pumpkins to decorate their new superhero
bedroom.

Gotta love petting zoos. I wonder if the chickens
know there's a KFC just down the street?

They loved chasing the ducks around...and around...
and around the pond!

It's a good thing Ron Weasely isn't around!

They had dozens of these picture boards...these
are just a few we took!

An apple a day keeps the doctor away...

Last week my friend Anne and I took our kids to the Apple Farm. The weather was 80 degrees and sunny so we took advantage....this is rare for fall in Minnesota! It was a fun day and something I like to do with the boys every year. Next up Anne is going to show me how to make an apple pie. I know, I know what kind of ignorant person doesn't know how to make an apple pie? Well it's not one of Weston's favorites, so I've just never attempted it. Plus, she has a handy dandy tool that peels and cores the apples really fast! So I guess Weston is going to have to develop a taste for apple pie soon!

Here's all the kids in the orchard. You try getting
6 kids to all smile and look at the camera at once!

Searching for the perfect apple.

Nice picks boys!

I don't know what it is about goats that kids seem
to enjoy, but this was their favorite part of the day!

Of course you can't go to the apple farm without
visiting the bakery! Our favorite is the apple cider
donuts!

Back to School

I am now the mother of a kindergartner! How did that happen? I have to say that I was a little emotional about this. I thought for sure I'd be one of those moms that of course missed their child while at school, but at the same time secretly relished the extra free time. However, I have never put my child in the hands of a stranger for 7 hours! Luckily, Logan got a fabulous lady who just screams "kindergarten teacher." Not to mention she's also the mom of 3 young boys...yay she "gets" boys! I really feel like Logan hit the jackpot with her. I, of course, worried how he would do, being gone all day. When I picked him up he had a huge smile on his face and said he had a great time. When I asked him what his favorite part was he said everything! Don't you love the enthusiasm? He loved showing all the kids his Batman thermos during lunch. He also informed me that his lunch is a "cold lunch" while the lunch at the school is a "hot lunch" and it's not called a library it's now the "media center." I'd better start reading up on all the new lingo! :)

Our Last Summer Adventure

The boys and I just got back from a 2 1/2 week vacation to Las Vegas, Utah, and Oregon. We had such a nice time seeing our family and friends. However, I hope it's a long time before I have to see the backseat of a car or a crowded airplane. I don't recommend traveling with your kids without your husband! Luckily I had Weston's parents with me most of the time...except on the plane! Weston wasn't able to take that much time off work so he was only able to meet us in Oregon for 3 days for his family reunion (in case you're wondering why he's not in many of the pics!) :)

Here the boys and I are enjoying the pool at Weston's parents house in Vegas.
It was 8:00 in the morning and already in the 90's!

Logan had just finished swimming lessons before our trip so he
enjoyed testing out his new skills in the pool. I'm thinking the goggles
are on upside down...what do you think? :)

Carson learned how to blow bubbles in the water at his
lessons so he loved putting his face in the water!

Here Logan is diving in to get the diving rings from the bottom
of the pool. I couldn't do that at his age....who am I kidding...I can't
do that now!

Our next stop was Weston's family cabin in Utah.

Here we are on a hike.

Down at the creek looking for fish!

How cute...Carson and Grandad in matching Brianhead T-shirts.

The boys with Grandma getting ready to roast some marshmallows
at the campfire.

Carson was hilarious trying to roast his marshmallow while
staying as far as possible away from the fire!

Grandad's new nickname is "pyro" he's having way too much fun!

Carson went straight for the chocolate!

One of their favorite activities was riding the 4 wheeler!

This is at Cedar Breaks which is just down the rode
from the cabin. Grandad, Logan, Aunt Lorna, Carson, and Grandma

We rode the chair lifts up to Brianhead peak.

Grandma, Carson, and Grandad on the lift...it got a little windy up there!

The view was amazing from 11,000 ft. !

Our next stop was our family reunion in Sunriver, OR. We finally got to meet up with Weston.....daddy we missed you!

Here is all 6 of Weston's brothers and their families...quite a group!

Our little family looks pretty small in comparison!

My nieces: Brooke, Ashlie, and Alyssa

We spent one afternoon at one of the huge pools there.
Here's Logan splashing around with his cousins Trinity and Larynn.

Carson loves his Uncle Jon.

Time for a bike ride for Carson and a backache for daddy!

Nice pine cone!

Logan is checking out the deer that came right in our backyard!

Carson loved Brooke's dog...I'm not really a dog person, but this little guy
was so adorable!

Carson with his cousin Elyse.

After the reunion the boys and I headed to Klamath Falls, OR. This is where both my and Weston's parents live. I got to see my mom, brother, and my good friend Rickie from high school was in town!

This is Rickie and I. We made a trip to Howard's Prairie Lake with both of our moms, my niece Sammi, and the boys of course!

Sammi and I

We were supposed to go swimming, but it was too cold....isn't it August?
So the boys had to settle for hiking...which was interesting in flip flops!

Brotherly love

Checking out the water skippers....the meadow was a little windy!
