The last time we took a ride on the Polar Express I was pregnant with Greyson. It was so fun to see his excitement about riding a real train to the North Pole to see Santa! London loved every minute of it as well. The older boys say they are in it for the cookies and hot chocolate, but they sang along to the Christmas carols, so I don’t think they’re fooling anybody. We were so lucky that the train depot had snow this year! With all of the Christmas lights it made it that more magical. It was the PERFECT way to kick of Christmas break!
When we first arrived we enjoyed a buffet dinner at the hotel
restaurant. They always have it decorated so cute! The boys love watching the
toy train travel all around the wall of the dining room. This year the chicken
alfredo was a hit and of course the soft serve ice cream!
After dinner it was time to put our pj’s on and load the train. We always get pictures in the hotel lobby in front of the Christmas tree.
On the train we sang Christmas songs, read the Polar Express book out loud (the big boys took a snooze during story time), and our singing waiters served us hot chocolate and cookies!
Then we arrived at the North Pole! Santa came on the train and gave everyone a bell.
After we arrived back at the train depot/hotel we walked around the grounds and enjoyed looking at the lights.
The next morning we enjoyed the hotel’s buffet breakfast. You can’t go wrong with hot chocolate and chocolate chip pancakes with my boys! We snapped a few more fun train pictures during the daylight and then we were off on our next adventure!
Thank for an another amazing time on the Polar Express!
