Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas everyone! We had a wonderful time this year. It was our 1st Christmas in our new home and it was so fun making new memories with our family! This year we had Weston's brother Jon, Kayla, and their baby Ethan over. We started the day bright and early w/ presents and then had a yummy brunch of homemade banana bread, chocolate croissants, chocolate covered strawberries, fruit (because we needed at least 1 healthy thing), and Godiva hot chocolate! Later that evening we had a HUGE ham feast w/ all the yummy fixings! I even made Weston's mom's famous homemade rolls and even Jon said they were really good. That's saying a lot since those of you who know Jon, know how picky he is! ;) Finally we ended the day w/ chocolate pie w/ graham cracker crust and various cheesecakes! It was delicious! It was very different this year looking out the window at sunshine and palm trees, but I realized that having a "white Christmas" doesn't matter and the Christmas spirit finds you no matter where you live. What's most important is being with your family and remembering what this day truly represents...the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Santa brought the boys Superman and Batman chairs to match the bedding in their room.

Santa brought London this really fun exersaucer! He loved it!

Carson got this really cool nerf gun that has a red laser sight! Dangerous!

When we were back in Oregon this past summer, Carson was on this kick that he wanted a white baby goat that he would name Carson. He would talk about it all the time and my mom and brother thought it was hilarious! Well my mom found this Webkinz baby goat and got it for him. It's his new best friend and has replaced "dino" as his animal of choice to sleep with!

While Carson was on the goat kick, Logan said he wanted a sheep. Must be all the farm animals around Weston's parent's house! So mom found him a webkinz also!

My house has been taken over by LEGOS!! It doesn't help that Weston has just as much fun putting them together as the boys!

Grandma and Grandad got the boys these really cool Zero Gravity cars that drive on walls!

Pretty cool!

Jon, Kayla, and Ethan

London spent most of the day in his exersaucer since I was busy cooking. Santa was a lifesaver!

London and Ethan

Ethan is 3 months younger than London, but they're the same size! Here's a series of photos of London pretty much mauling him!;) He loves his cousin!

All the boys...we're so glad to finally have another boy cousin in the family!

Christmas came early!!

This room in our home has been "emty" since we moved in since our couch and arm chair are currently in the "bonus" room. That's what we call it anyway...it's a family/t.v./play/soon to be theater room. So I've had this huge beautiful room with nothing to put in it. This room is the first thing you see when you walk in the front door. I couldn't even offer guests a seat when they came over! The kitchen table is just not that cozy! :) Well when we were back in Oregon for Thanksgiving we stopped into this fabulous home decor store that Weston's mom works at on occasion called RJ Classics. They had this beautiful couch and ottoman on an incredible sale! It was just the style we were looking for so I figured it was meant to be! lol The best part of the story is the beautiful area rug we got for free!!! It was damaged at the store and has a small tear in one of the corners, so the store owner asked if Sandy knew anyone who would want it. Of course we jumped at the opportunity! The colors match everything perfectly...again must have been meant to be! So long story short Weston and I bought each other living room furniture for each other for Christmas! It just arrived yesterday and I'm so glad we got it in time for Christmas! Now we don't have to sit on the cold, hard tile floor to open presents! :)

I love seeing our family stockings hanging all together on the mantle!

Logan is 7!!

My baby is 7 years old now!! I guess I can't really call him my baby anymore huh? :( The boys got out of school early on Friday for Christmas break and Logan wanted to spend the afternoon at the Tucson Children's Museum for his birthday. They had fun, however when you have the St. Paul Children's Museum to compare it too...there is no comparison. You just can't beat the anthole tunnel maze at that one! It was quite a bit smaller, but what they did have the boys really enjoyed. They're both already asking when we can go back again!

When did they get so big?

To my friends in Minnesota who are reading this...yes it was 73 degrees on Dec. 18th! We're still getting used to it!

Learning about electricity.

Doing a little grocery shopping.

Rope maze.

Trying out Dance Dance Revolution...I'm thinking we need to get that for our Wii!

Attempting the rock wall in flip flops!

The biggest game of operation we had ever seen!

Carson's favorite part...playing a vet.

He loves dogs...even the stuffed ones! To bad Logan's allergic!

For Logan's birthday dinner he wanted to go to RA. How many 7 year olds do you know that pick a sushi restaurant for their birthday? :) He loves the edamame, lobster spring rolls, and chicken on a stick. The last time we were there he had sushi and loved it...too bad he broke out in hives later! At least he can enjoy the appetizers!

The sushi restaurant is located at this really nice outdoor shopping mall. That evening they turned the courtyard into a "winter wonderland" or as close to one as Tucson can get. They had snow machines blowing snow down on the crowd for about 30 min. It was fun, but nothing like the real thing of course! ;)

The morning of his birthday...time for presents...FINALLY!

Super Hero Squad for the Wii...all he really asked for!

Every little boy needs a little Calvin and Hobbes in their life. He read the entire book that day...mind you it's 254 pages. Have I mentioned how much he LOVES to read?:)

I Spy Game!

He loves getting his own money!

Looks like he made out pretty good...and Christmas is right around the corner!

Yummy french toast breakfast!

Finally you can't have a birthday without cupcakes....chocolate with cany cane sprinkles...Mmmmm....and peppermint ice cream on the side!

Make a wish!

Christmas season has arrived!

Logan and Carson had their Christmas programs at school this week! They were both so cute and they did a great job!

Logan's class did a Hawaiian Christmas song and dance. You can spot Logan in the light blue shirt.

Carson's class did the song "12 Days of Preschool" to the tune of "12 Days of Christmas." My favorite part was on the 5th day of preschool their teacher gave them "5 hula hoops" and all the kids sang that part so loud while swinging their hips! Pretty hard to find something cuter than a bunch of preschoolers! :)

Also Santa visited the school and did storytime w/ all the "little" kids. Right after this picture was taken London reached up and pulled Santa's beard off! Where is a camcorder when you need one? :) All the kids in line were a little shocked and poor Santa was trying to discreetly fix his beard! lol I thought it was pretty funny! Clearly this Santa was an amature...what did he expect when he had his tickly long beard right by London's head?
