Hearts, chocolate, flowers, cookies, LOVE...It must be Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to all the lovers out there! I must admit, I love this holiday. What girl doesn't like getting spoiled a bit here and there? Plus, spreading some love to my 4 favorite Valentine's is always a joy!

I surprised Weston with little treats leading up to the "BIG" day...

For my younger lovies, they wanted to try an "All RED dinner." Let's just say it was interesting...

And of course some special prizes and treats just for them.

Valentine date night hair...thank you Pinterest!

Weston knows what I like. Cheesecake Factory cheesecake (hand delivered), chocolate covered strawberries (made by my sweetie), and flowers. I do love that man.

And last, but not least! A surprise Valentine's Day snow storm!

Pinewood Derby

Last month was the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby for Logan. He worked for a few weeks beforehand with his dad to get his car just right. Poor guy came in last place the year before (he dropped his car on the way into the church and bent his axle.) So Weston was bound and determined to do better. A little healthy competion never hurt anyone! ;) I was sad I couldn't make it (I had soccer duty with Carson), so I was so happy Grandad was in town to take my place. When Logan walked in the door he had the biggest grin on his face...4th place out of 30 cars! Not bad! He just barely missed 3rd place. In fact they had to have several "race offs" to determine who got it. 1st-3rd receives a medal so Logan almost got one. He was thrilled that his car won so many races that night and he had such a fun boys night with his dad and grandad.

Girlfriends

Girlfriends. What would we do without them? We may love our husbands/boyfriends dearly, but lets face it, NOTHING takes the place of a good GIRLfriend. I'm fortunate to have made many over the last 34(gasp!) years. I was lucky enough to have a little girls night getaway (arranged by 4 VERY sweet husbands) with some very lovely ladies who I'm glad to call my friends. We had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory, a little shopping of course, hot tubbing at our fancy hotel, dessert in our p.j's, girl talk till the wee' hours, mani/pedi's the next morning, and finally yummy lunch to round out our trip. I'm thinking we need to make this an annual thing...Are you listening husbands?? :)
