London turns 1!

London's actual birthday was May 12th, but we waited to have his party so we could celebrate with Weston's parents. It was a small get together with just us, Uncle Jon, Grandma, and Grandad. At first I felt a little guilty since both Logan and Carson had HUGE 1st birthday parties, but I got over it real quick!;) Small is....nice and stress free! He had fun and that's all that matters! Happy Birthday sweet boy!

Birthday Boy!

"O.K. mom take this crown off now!!!"

Top 5 reasons why we love to have Grandma and Grandad visit...

1. Weston and I got to go to the movies alone for the first time in 15 months! We saw Iron Man 2...which was awesome FYI!

2.Grandad will play Monopoly for 2 hours with Logan with absolutely no complaints!

3. Grandma will go through an entire I Spy book w/ Carson until every last item is found!

4. Grandma cooks for us every night...I think she misses cooking for a big crew...bonus is she's a fabulous cook!

5. Grandma and Grandad just plain ROCK!!

London's ISR classes

For the past 3 weeks London has been enrolled in Infant Swimming Resource Classes. They teach infants and toddlers what to do if they accidentally fall into a pool/hot tub, etc. It's really hard to watch, but he's doing really well. We don't have a fence around our pool so this was something we really felt we needed to do. Only one more week to go before he's done. He'll do refresher courses every 6 months and by 2 he will be full on swimming! I think it's pretty exciting!

What happens when.....

You leave Logan and Carson alone in their room for 20 minutes and think to yourself "Awww...they're playing so nicely together let's see what they're up to?"

You can see Logan's head peeking our from the "fort" they built on Carson's bed. Too bad cleaning up the mess isn't nearly as much fun as making it! :)

You leave London on the bathroom floor happily playing with your hairbrush for 30 seconds while you go to your closet that's only 10 feet away to put a shirt on?

Sadly I only got to wear that beautiful OPI color once...:(

On a side note, check out Carson's awesome battle wounds he received in Saturday's soccer game!

When I dropped him off at school this morning I told him that chicks dig scars and he just rolled his eyes at me!

My Target addiction...seriously it's a problem...

Yesterday London and I headed out to run my Saturday afternoon errands while the big boys stayed home with daddy to play in the pool. On our agenda Batteries Plus (gotta get a new rechargeable battery for that baby monitor so little man can sleep in his nursery again!), Target ( in need of a good picnic/outdoor blanket for London to crawl around on at the big boy soccer games), and finally the grocery store. All went well at the battery store and then Target sucked me in once again. Am I the only one out there that can spend an hour just perusing the aisles? What is it about Target that we women find so appealing? Anyway, I was disappointed that there where no picnic blankets to be found....however I did find a wonderful memory foam topper for our mattress (our old one was destroyed in the big move from Minnesota), and they had their extremely cozy microplush blankets on sale...I couldn't resist picking up a cream one for our guest room, and my favorite...Smith and Hawkins has these cute little flower pot kits. Everything you need to grow beautiful daisies is included...and the pots are adorable! I thought it would be the perfect centerpiece for my table on the back patio. Luckily I have 2 weeks until the next soccer game to find the perfect blanket. We arrived home and Weston made us all dinner. As long as he can cook it on the grill he's game to make dinner anytime...lucky me...and he even does the dishes! ;)

My shopping companion...could he be any cuter? :)

On our menu: Teriyaki glazed chicken w/ rice, fresh grilled pineapple, and potstickers....yum!

Is there anything sexier than your man doing the dishes? If only all guys realized this little secret! ;)
