Christmas morning

The boys slept in till 6:45! Thank goodness because Santa’s elves had a late night.

Santa left this note for the boys on our tree.

Can you tell Logan hates “posing” for pictures? Ha! I promise he LOVES the foosball table.

At 8:30 Greyson decided to wake up and join us. Poor baby is sick with another runny nose, but he was still a good sport. I think he enjoyed his 1st Christmas!

I have been wanting to get Greyson a pair of Freshly Picked moccs. They went on sale on Black Friday and I couldn’t resist. I love them…they are so cute!

For our breakfast we had chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream and candy cane sprinkles, fruit candy canes, milk, and hot cocoa of course!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

This year we decided to have our big fancy dinner on Christmas Eve so we could just relax in our pj’s all Christmas Day. We made sure to make enough food so we would have leftovers. On the menu: beef tenderloin, mashed potatoes, steamed fresh green beans, chopped salad, and homemade rolls.

After dinner we talked about the night Jesus was born. I read a story to the boys and then we watched a short video about the birth of our Savior.DSC05157DSC05168DSC05173DSC05176

Then it was time to get their Christmas pj’s on and hunt for the pickle ornament. Whoever finds the hidden pickle in the tree gets to open the 1st present of Christmas. This year it was Carson. We did give London a head start, but that darn pickle is hard to see! Every year the gift is something that all the boys can enjoy together.

Before bed the boys sprinkled reindeer food (oatmeal with glitter) on the front yard so they would easily be able to spot our house. Then it was time to put out cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. After about an hour of giggles and silliness they were all finally asleep. Christmas is the best with children!

Christmas Cookies

It just wouldn’t be Christmas at our house without sugar cookies! They are such a MESS, but so worth it. I love seeing the boy’s creativity. They sure enjoyed the fruits of their labor! Don’t worry Santa, we saved some for you!
