This year Greyson was old enough to really get into doing the pumpkins. He loved digging out all of the “guts.” I was planning on helping him carve a design, but he was perfectly happy with his Frankenstein parts, so we just went with that. Poor Logan had his huge white pumpkin get attacked by the stinkin’ javelinas while it was on our front porch, so it was pretty beat up. He came up with the idea to make it into a zombie since it already was missing chunks of flesh. I think it turned out pretty great!

Apple Annie’s Orchard
When I mentioned to the boys I wanted to sneak in one last activity for Fall Break, they weren’t thrilled with my suggestion of picking apples. What can I say? I’m a sucker for any and all fall traditions. The orchard isn’t nearly as exciting as the pumpkin patch, BUT as soon as they realized there would be tree climbing AND donuts involved…they were on board. Plus, I told them we could make caramel apples with our pickins’. Who wouldn’t like the sound of that?

Pumpkin Patch Fun!
This year we decide to try out a new pumpkin patch and boy are we glad we did! This family farm had so many fun, unique activities and the boys and I had a blast! Unfortunately, Weston had someone from corporate at his restaurant so he couldn’t sneak away with us like we had planned. I wasn’t about to waste the only 75 degree day in the forecast for fall break, so I braved it on my own with the boys.
They had these HUGE jumping pillows that were a favorite!
They had the cutest petting zoo, with all kinds of miniature animals…even cows!
Don’t forget to wash hands after the petting zoo!
Such a fun sand pit with a farm play house.
Greyson did a nose dive into the sand at the bottom of the slide. He didn’t even cry. Logan wishes we would have gotten it on video. He swears we could have won on America’s Funniest Home Videos.
The older boys were thrilled to try out the zipline!
Racing peddle go carts!
Isn’t this the cutest little pumpkin train?
Pig Races!
And finally the wagon ride out to the biggest pumpkin patch we’ve ever seen!
