Announcing London Thomas Stewart!

London arrived May 12th at 7:19 p.m. almost 4 weeks early! He weight 5 lbs. 13 o.z. and was 20 in. long. Everything was going fine with my pregnancy up until the Saturday before Mother's Day. I woke up that morning when I experienced very heavy bleeding. So heavy that at first I thought my water broke until I saw the blood. Needless to say I was completely freaked out! When I called the hospital the first thing the nurse ask was "Can you feel your baby moving?" Well of course during that exact moment I couldn't feel him which scared me even more. Weston rushed me to the hospital where they monitored the baby and I for most of the day. The ultrasound came back normal thankfully. Never in my life have I been more thankful for my ultrasound background, because I could read the scan right along w/ the tech instead of waiting for the Radiologist's report.

After keeping me most of the day and since I wasn't still actively bleeding, they decided to send me home on bed rest. What a way to spend Mother's Day weekend. On Monday when I called my Dr. they said since I was 36 weeks now, I could resume normal activity, but just take it easy. Well I had a feeling that he was coming that week so I was running errands all day on Monday trying to get ready. Sure enough on Tuesday at 1:00 in the morning the bleeding started again. We went back to the hospital where they ran through the same routine they had on Saturday. They still could not find anything wrong and they had no idea why I was bleeding. Throughout the day on Tuesday I continued to bleed off and on. I was dilated to a 4 and was 80% effaced by late morning. Finally my Dr. said she wanted to just induce me because neither one of us was comfortable w/ the bleeding since we had no idea where it was coming from.

So they broke my water and started the pitoson about an hour later. I went from a 4 to a ten in an hour! Thank heavens for epidurals is all I have to say! :) London arrived in perfect health and we feel so blessed that everything turned out so well. When the Dr. checked over my placenta she found a small tear, too small for u/s to detect or to cause me any discomfort. It just reaffirmed to me that my Dr. and I made the right decision! So that is my crazy delivery tale! Here are some pics of our little cutie...enjoy!

Easter in Vegas

We were lucky enough to get to spend Easter in sunny Las Vegas this year! Weston had to go to his usual KFC meetings so we decided to head there early so we could spend Easter w/ family. It's so nice that we can stay at his parents house and can get away from "the srip" when we want to. We packed in a whole lot of fun in just a week, so here are some pics!

Our good friends Neil and Naoma Wilkinson who used to live in MN just happened to be visiting Vegas the same week we were! We hadn't seen each other in over 2 years! It was so fun to see them!

We took the boys to their 1st magic show at the Monte Carlo to see Lance Burton. They loved it!

They loved visiting the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. I think their favorite was the jelly fish!

We can't be in Vegas w/o spending some time swimming! I usually just lounged by the pool feeling like a beached whale! :) Is this pregnancy almost over?

Weston's mom set up a fun treasure hunt for the kids to find their baskets. Logan loved that he could read all the clues w/o any help. They had about 10 stops before they finally found their goodies! Their little cousin Vella was so cute. She didn't know what to think so she just ran around following the boys! We went to church and then had an amazing Easter dinner. Later in the evening Weston's Aunt and Uncle and set up a HUGE egg hunt for all of the kids that were in town. The boys loved seeing their 2nd cousins! Now we have enough candy to last a year!

Look who's 4!

I can hardly believe it, Carson is 4! Where did the time go? For his special day we took him to dinner at his favorite restaurant Space Aliens Grill. This is a really fun place w/ an outer space theme and a game room. Then it was back home for presents and cupcakes! Luckily Weston helped w/ the "Jumpin' Jackpot" game and won the boys 150 tickets! By the end of the night they had over 400 tickets so they each got to pick out 2 pretty big prizes! I'll never understand how kids can get so excited over the "junk toys" at these places, but they sure do! I really would rather just give them each 10 bucks to spend at the toy store, but apparently that's not nearly as much fun! ;)

Bump Update

Apparently there are a few of you out there that get enjoyment out of watching me get larger by the minute so this post is for you! :) I have reached the 7 month mark and now have to actually "waddle" when I walk up and down the stairs. Ladies you know what I'm talking about! Thank goodness the weather is getting warmer so I no longer need to depend on my husband to remove my shoes.... whoever invented flip flops...I love you! I'm so glad we're on the home stretch and I'm really starting to get excited about this little guy who loves to tap dance on my bladder. I'm so curious if he'll look more like Logan or Carson. Perhaps he'll be completely unique in his own way....only time will tell.

The results are in.....

5 month bump

IT'S A BOY!!!! It turns out Weston is one dominant male sperm! I'm so happy to report that he's perfectly healthy and we all know that's really what is important and such a blessing. Plus think of all the money I'm going to save since I don't have to do ANY shopping!! Now I can buy the fun stuff that I WANT instead of the boring stuff I NEED! Now if we could only decide on a name....
