We’re building a fort!

One of the boy’s favorite activities at the cabin is playing at the “fort” which basically consists of a bunch of old wood haphazardly nailed together by all of the cousins through the years. It’s not exactly safe or easy for the kids to get up to, so Weston decided this year he was going to build a real fort/tree house that all the kids can enjoy through the years at the cabin. He researched for hours online the easiest, most cost effective way to do it. He then enlisted the help of his brother Jon and they were both pretty excited about their new project. We brought a ton of our tools with us to the cabin (Weston was bummed he couldn’t fit his table saw) and bought lumbar at the Home Depot in Cedar City. Once Matt got there he was excited to help as well. The brothers, grandad and the kids all played a part in this project. They got about half way done (we were delayed some due to rain), so Weston has decided another trip up to the cabin is in order during fall break, so he can finish it up and seal the wood before winter. I can’t wait to see the finished product!
