4th of July and other fun stuff

We had a great holiday weekend! We squeezed in some time at the pool on Friday and spent all day at the lake on Saturday. It's been a tradition of sorts for us to meet several families for some swimming, tubing, and of course LOTS of eating. I'm very sad that this will be our last 4th of July at the lake. We've made some wonderful memories and they are some of my fondest of our time spent in Minnesota. Finally on Sunday we were able to have London's blessing at church. I'm so glad we were able to share that special event with our MN ward, who have really become like family to us!

Carson and Abby splashing around at the pool. Aren't they cute together? Abby's mom and I are not opposed to an arranged marriage for these two! lol

Logan before he bashed his head on the side of the pool...boys will be boys!

At the lake. My poor husband needs to see the sun more! :)

London doing what he does best!

Carson and daddy soaking up some sun.

I love this picture!

Logan climbing trees...again boys will be boys!

The boys all set to go tubing w/ Sammi and Bitsy.

After a long day at the lake the boys conked out in the truck. We, however, were not done partying quite yet! Our friends had several families over to their home for a BBQ and fireworks. Their backyard was every kids dream! They had a rope swing, rock climbing wall, trampoline, huge sand volleyball court, and the biggest sand pit you've ever seen. Needless to say my boys thought they were in heaven and had a blast getting DIRTY!!

London's Blessing

I love how London is looking up at Carson. Here is my proof that he's not ALWAYS sleeping!

Finally, a family picture together with London!

A look back at 12 years.....

Today Weston and I are celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary. Wow...where did the time go? While I was packing I came across some old photos and I thought it might be fun to post some pics of our time together. It has been an amazing ride so far and our adventure is no where near over. I'm am lucky to be able to share all that life brings us with such an incredible man. One thing I noticed while posting this is my hair has gotten progressively blonder over the years. I guess my secret out...I'm not a real blonde...shhh...don't tell anyone! ;)

Weston's senior pic....I still remember him sending me this very picture while he was away at college...ahhhh dreamy.

My senior picture

Weston took me to my senior prom.

Our wedding day...obviously!

On our honeymoon in Maui. We got asked if we were old enough to be running away together while we were there. Now I see why...we look like babies!

A family trip to Disneyworld (b.k.) before kids. Let me just say it's a whole different experience going w/o them! :)

We stopped in Vegas for a few day on our way to Texas. This was our first time living in a different place than our families. It was so fun just the two of us on this crazy road trip...I have some stories involving car accidents and brothels in the Nevada desert!

Here we stopped in Santa Fe, NM while moving from Texas to Idaho. I detect a pattern here.

Here we are at one of Weston's brother's wedding. Look at that hair and PINK lipstick...what was I thinking?

This is from our most recent trip to Hawaii. We went to the island of Kauai w/o the kids and it was heavenly!

So that's why I'm still not packed!

So for the past 2 weeks instead of packing up my house for my impending move...I've been busy with swimming lessons and trips to the lake. It's been great fun, but unfortunately I'm going to have to buckle down now and start w/ the not so fun stuff...packing. :( It's pretty easy to procrastinate when the weather is so beautiful and I'm not going to have a lake w/ a sandy beach just 3 minutes from my house anymore! Remind me why I'm moving again? ;)

Water and sand...what more do you need?

This is how London spends his afternoon at the lake.

The boys w/ their buddy Jack.

That would be the back of Logan's head...practicing his flutter kick.

Here they're getting the dive rings from the bottom of the pool.

Carson's getting better!

Wow he actually posed for me!

One month went fast!

I know it sounds so cliche', but man did the last month fly by. I can't believe our little London is now one month old! I'm happy to report that he weighs 7 1/2 lbs. Wow...he's now the same weight as a normal baby! :) He is such a blessing to our family. I can just imagine my life in a few years when he's old enough to start wreaking havoc with his brothers...I wouldn't have it any other way!

You know you're in love with your baby when they are still adorable...even while crying. Seriously the pouty bottom lip gets me every time!

All he needed was his binky. This kids got a serious attachment already...uh oh.

The binky does the trick every time.

Announcing London Thomas Stewart!

London arrived May 12th at 7:19 p.m. almost 4 weeks early! He weight 5 lbs. 13 o.z. and was 20 in. long. Everything was going fine with my pregnancy up until the Saturday before Mother's Day. I woke up that morning when I experienced very heavy bleeding. So heavy that at first I thought my water broke until I saw the blood. Needless to say I was completely freaked out! When I called the hospital the first thing the nurse ask was "Can you feel your baby moving?" Well of course during that exact moment I couldn't feel him which scared me even more. Weston rushed me to the hospital where they monitored the baby and I for most of the day. The ultrasound came back normal thankfully. Never in my life have I been more thankful for my ultrasound background, because I could read the scan right along w/ the tech instead of waiting for the Radiologist's report.

After keeping me most of the day and since I wasn't still actively bleeding, they decided to send me home on bed rest. What a way to spend Mother's Day weekend. On Monday when I called my Dr. they said since I was 36 weeks now, I could resume normal activity, but just take it easy. Well I had a feeling that he was coming that week so I was running errands all day on Monday trying to get ready. Sure enough on Tuesday at 1:00 in the morning the bleeding started again. We went back to the hospital where they ran through the same routine they had on Saturday. They still could not find anything wrong and they had no idea why I was bleeding. Throughout the day on Tuesday I continued to bleed off and on. I was dilated to a 4 and was 80% effaced by late morning. Finally my Dr. said she wanted to just induce me because neither one of us was comfortable w/ the bleeding since we had no idea where it was coming from.

So they broke my water and started the pitoson about an hour later. I went from a 4 to a ten in an hour! Thank heavens for epidurals is all I have to say! :) London arrived in perfect health and we feel so blessed that everything turned out so well. When the Dr. checked over my placenta she found a small tear, too small for u/s to detect or to cause me any discomfort. It just reaffirmed to me that my Dr. and I made the right decision! So that is my crazy delivery tale! Here are some pics of our little cutie...enjoy!
