Our Oregon Adventure (part 1)

The boys and I have just returned from a week long stay in Oregon! We crashed at Weston’s parent’s house and had a ball! The boys’ loved grandma’s homemade breakfasts of pancakes, waffles, and blueberry muffins (every morning), and I relished sleeping in! It was nice to have a week off of cooking and cleaning. The weather was very cool when we arrived (highs were in the 50’s), but as the week went on we enjoyed sunshine and 70’s. A perfect break from our 100+ Arizona heat! An added bonus was Aunt Lorna (Larry’s sister) was in town visiting as well. We only wish daddy could have joined us!

The boys with grandma, grandad, and Aunt Lorna after a morning of working in the garden. They call the Oregon house the “garden house” and the Vegas house the “pool house.”

On Sunday our niece Brooke graduated from high school. Sandy had a lovely backyard BBQ to celebrate!

Uncle Garrett even came to help celebrate. Garrett lives part time in a care home now so we don’t get to see him very often. It was so fun to see the boys play with their “Big” Uncle G who is just a kid at heart and in mind.

Uncle Todd and Brooke gave the boys some soccer tips. Brooke is attending Chico State in the fall on a soccer scholarship!

We also enjoyed a family BBQ at my mom’s house. It’s a rare occurrence to have all 5 of my brother’s kids together with my 3. I’m glad we were able to get a picture!
