Gettin' WET at The Cove!

This afternoon I took the boys down to “The Cove” which has a big indoor wave pool, kiddie pool/play area, HUGE hot tub, and 2 tube water slides! I let Logan and Carson each bring a friend because I thought keeping an eye on 5 boys at a water park would be a piece of cake…Ha!  Actually I knew they would have way more fun with friends in tow. Lucky for me the older 4 are excellent swimmers and great listeners.

Today we went to Pump It Up with a huge group of friends from church. What a great way to wear those boys out nice and good…

Work Hard…Play Harder

We spent most of the day Saturday doing yard work. Every March our HOA provides a dumpster to encourage residents to do a little “spring cleaning” in our yards. It just happened to be a perfect Saturday for us to get started (no soccer, perfect temps.) All 3 boys worked hard and we got our entire front yard looking pretty spiffy. We still need to add a few plants, pots etc. to spruce it up a bit, but overall it looks much better. As a reward we took the boys to see a late matinee…FYI “Lorax” is adorable. Now onto the backyard…

I found the cutest little donut pan the other day at Target. I decided to surprise the boys when they got home from school on Friday with homemade donuts. Just a little treat to start off our Spring Break!

Reading is fun!

I love to see Carson reading to London! He’s going to be a bookworm lover just like his big brothers!

A glimpse of high school life…

 

Today I spent the morning with Logan and his 3rd grade class on a field trip to the high school to see their local production. It’s always such a treat to see Logan in his element with his friends and get to know his classmates a bit better. We even got to have lunch in the high school cafeteria (which was HUGE in comparison to the elementary school.) The kids got a little taste of what’s to come (thankfully still several years away.) I had to laugh at the fact that Logan begged me to go with him on this trip and then proceeded to ignore me most of the trip. I think we’ve reached the “I still want my mom around, but I don’t want my friends to find out” stage. My baby is growing up….
