It’s all about the elephants!

We have been anxiously awaiting the opening of our zoo’s brand new exhibit “Expedition Tanzania.” It was well worth the wait! What a beautiful addition to our zoo! We received 5 elephants from San Diego. A family including 2 babies, both boys, ages 5 and 1. It’s a beautiful exhibit with lots of hands on activities for the kids. I can’t wait to go back with all 3 boys. Logan and Carson were in school so we went with one of London’s buddies from his playgroup. I’m so glad we were able to get out and enjoy our beautiful weather!

I have been itchin to go to the zoo ever since I saw "We bought a zoo." Your zoo looks way cooler than our zoo. What are those nest thingys for?

London, your adorable as always!

Tawnya...they are "Weaver" bird nests. They are found in East Africa and they get their name from the intricate way they "weave" their nests.

How fun to see the new elephants. Now the boys can grow up with them as they keep an eye on them from year to year! I love the giraffe too... they have such beautiful coats.
